I'm going to let you all know now that this period of his life is looking ROUGH. This is not a complete exaggeration.
He's also going to be having an identity crisis. He's not going to know the difference between who he shows on camera/to the public and who he is. This is going to lead him to snub and refuse a myriad of opportunities for himself at that time. He may have even had a chance to go overseas and do work in some places that really love him. He's not going to know what to do with himself or where he even wants to go.
It'll be a period of many breakthroughs for him. At some point he's going to realize in his age that he doesn't want to be alone. He may not have entertained romance/long term love and he's going to realize that he does desire it. He gives the energy of the man who was once and untamable childish bachelor who finally grew up.
Nearly forgot to mention that it'll be near radio silence from him, he may be quite late when it comes to joining social media with a personal account. It's likely that posts from him are going to be few and far in between, without any consistent pattern. There may be a week where he posts a bunch of random meme-ish photos and offguards every day, and then he wont post for a month.
He's going to dedicate himself to chasing love and going on dates like the devil is on his heels. Applying his work grind attitude in search of love. But it's not likely to work out then because he's taking it on all wrong. We are still likely not to know what he's going to be doing work wise because his interest in working will be little to none. This will continue for quite a while.
I do see him possibly having a reunion and hanging out with Jimin specifically at some point. It could take place at an event they planned, hoping to have a group reunion but it feels as if the others will not show. However, Seokjin may not show up or he will be late.
It doesn't particularly feel like watching a train wreck, but rather watching those compilation of people getting bugs pulled out of their ears. Strange, fascinating but nobody has any idea what to make of it. He's essentially going to be wilding out, doing everything he wants, drunk posting, showing that he's human. He's going to likely receive backlash for acting like a normal guy because it will shatter others perception of him as this clean cut and put together kind of person.
There will be yet another period of crisis for him where he's forced to face the demons in relation to working/his life goals/dreams and the future. Realizing that there's nobody to put him in place, give him a schedule or task list of things that he must do. He will be conflicted as to whether he felt trapped or he enjoyed knowing what was coming next.
He's going to be all over the place. His talents will never go anywhere. But I do see him having a few ugly ups and downs. Starting things and not finishing them, spending foolish amounts of money and then getting worried he could go broke when in reality it's unlikely for him anyway.
Eventually there will come a point when he seems to have finally pulled himself together and found a place/thing/niche to do with himself. He's going to choose this on a whim and it's going to work out. He and the public will be celebrating and simultaneously relieved. In specific, it feels like a TV/media opportunity. Becoming a regular cast member on a sort of variety show, something like 2 days 1 night.
